Whats the difference...
Whats the difference between Walt Disney, Steve Jobs and you?
Sounds like the start of a joke doesnt it? It’s not though. Let me explain.
Walt Disney was a high school drop-out who went bankrupt. He had a dream though and eventually opened Disneyland.
Steve Jobs was fired from the company he founded before returning to Apple to bring us the iPod, the iPhone and the iPad.
Oprah Winfrey was fired from her job as a reporter for being unfit for TV before going to have the most successful talk show for 25 years straight.
“If you can dream it, you can do it.” Thats a quote by Walt Disney. This quote really is 100% true.
All these people had a dream but there was something else that made them successful too. They did something about their dream. Actually they did a lot.
And thats the difference between Walt Disney, Steve Jobs and you! They did something about their dreams. They really aren't any smarter than you or I, they just did something about their dream. They dreamed, they planned, they did something, they failed, they persevered, they changed their plans, they did some more, they persevered some more and they kept doing and they kept persevering - and eventually they realized their dreams.
It really is true - “if you can dream it, you can do it.” But you have to do it.
So, my question to you is, what is your dream and what are you going to do about it? Not “someday” but tomorrow. What are you going to tomorrow towards your dream. Because if Walt Disney, Steve Jobs and Oprah can do it - so can you!
