Expectations

We don’t get in life what we want, we get what we expect.

We see what we expect to see. We see what we look for. We see what we are thinking. Our expectations are the engine for our perception.

If you expect that someone won’t like you, they won’t - because you will only see the “bad” things they do to you, and not the nice things.

If you think you aren’t good at something, you won’t be - because you will focus on your failures instead of your successes.

If you expect that something will be hard, it will be - because you will fixate on the difficulties rather than the parts of the task that go well.

If you expect that something will be fun, it will be - because you will concentrate on the enjoyable bits.

If you expect you are going to do well in life, you will do well - because you will try harder!

If you want better, expect better. Set the expectation that you want. You get what you expect. Expect the best!
